Ride for Marisela
Help me gear up for change!
Help me gear up for change!
This year, I’m participating in the 2026 ALS Canada Revolution Ride in support of people living with ALS and their families.
ALS is a disease that asks more of a person than anyone should ever have to give. It slowly takes away the ability to move, speak, and do the everyday things so many of us take for granted. Yet, it can never take away the strength of the human.
I am riding for my mother in law Marisela, an incredible woman who is courageously facing her own ALS journey today. Every day she meets challenges most of us cannot imagine, yet she continues to show remarkable strength, hope, and perseverance. Her courage reminds us that while ALS may change a person’s life, it cannot diminish their heart, their love, or the impact they have on those around them.
I also ride in loving memory of a courageous man Jerry who faced ALS with incredible dignity, resilience, and grace. Though the disease challenged his body, it never defined who he was. His determination, love for his family and friends, and unwavering spirit continue to inspire everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in every pedal stroke, every donation, and every act of kindness made in his honour.
I ride—not only to remember those we have lost, but to stand beside those who continue to fight.
By supporting me and my team, you are helping fund vital ALS research, improve care for those living with the disease, and bring hope to families who need it most. One day, we believe there will be a world without ALS. Until then, we will keep riding, keep raising awareness, and keep believing.
Your support will help to:
- Further scientific progress by investing in the national ALS Canada Research Program, which funds the most promising ALS research. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
- Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Ontario – such as home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment, including hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts, and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to the people who need them.
Your help is needed. Please consider supporting me by making a donation in the top right corner. Let’s ride together to end ALS.
Thank you so much for your support!
